The Casino de Monte-Carlo lit up in pink by Pink Ribbon Monaco in conjunction with the International Month of Breast Cancer Awareness


In conjunction with the International Month of Breast Cancer Awareness, the Casino de Monte-Carlo will be lit up in pink on Wenesday, October 3th at 7:30 p.m., in a gesture of support for victims of breast cancer.

roseOn October 3rd, 2012 Pink Ribbon Monaco organise their 2nd breast cancer awareness campaign. At 7:30 pm, the Métropole Hotel entrance, the Casino de Monte-Carlo and Stars’n’Bars façade will be illuminated in pink lights, in a gesture of support to victims of breast cancer and to promote awareness of the disease. For the 2nd year running, October 3th 2012 will mark the beginning of breast cancer awareness month in the Principality, and across the world, joining forces with over 200 cities and 40 countries.


With this colourful display and for the second consecutive year, with the partnership of Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, Groupe Monte-Carlo SBM, Stars’n’Bars and Sharkprod (production of the illumination of both Stars’n’Bars and Casino façade) October 3rd 2012 will launch International Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Principality.


Pink Ribbon Monaco was founded in Spring 2011 by Julia Sperl-Kaukonen and Natasha Frost and aims to promote screening methods and raising awareness to the disease while assisting breast cancer victims in Monaco and its neighbouring region. Funds collected will go to individual victims, research and the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace.
